The encounter between Dali and Daum took place in 1968 with the “La Fleur du mal”, the first piece of a long series with the Maison. The translucency of the “pâte de cristal” offered Dalí the suitable medium for the expression of metamorphoses, suggested to him by his “paranoid and critical” perception of reality.
