Matignon Green Sugar Bowl (Special Order)

Matignon Green has been the official dinnerware of the Prime Minister of France since 1974. This elegant dinnerware was created by Robert Haviland and C. Parlon in collaboration with the then Prime Minister and is based on a Japanese design. This porcelain is frequently used for formal dining whilst entertaining Ambassadors and Heads of States in the Hotel Matignon which is the official Prime Minister's Palace in Paris. Five-piece place setting includes dinner plate, salad plate, bread/butter plate, teacup, and saucer.

In 1924, Robert Haviland collaborated with Camille Parlon to form Robert Haviland and C. Parlon. Robert Haviland was from a family with a long history in the porcelain business and was able to maintain the quality that his family was known for. The company produces its fine porcelain in Limoges, a French town well known for this coveted material.
