When David Reiss - a graduate of the Rhode Island School of Design - founded MATCH in 1995, he introduced America to the beauty of Italian pewter. MATCH’s pewter, a valuable metal composed of tin, copper, and antimony, is handmade by artisans in Northern Italy. Each piece is made with an alloy that is food safe, lead free, FDA approved and requires very little care. Every piece of Match pewter is marked with the manufacturer's "M" hallmark as well the mark of tin content "95".

MATCH flatware and ceramic dinnerware are dishwasher safe. Use the lowest heat setting, for washing and drying cycles. Allow dinnerware to cool before handling. Mugs, stemware and barware must be washed by hand.
Cleaning your pewter: Pewter requires almost no maintenance. To clean your pewter, hand wash in warm water. Dry the pewter completely, as water drops will cause spots.
