Our inspiration for the Grande Hotel percale was to design bedding as extravagant and exclusive as those found in the world’s finest hotels—the classic lines and impossibly cool, crisp linens that wrap you in luxury as you sleep, and refresh you as you wake.
Established in 1891, Sferra began in Italy as a purveyor of fine Italian lace to the discerning clientele who frequented the grand seaside resorts in the East Coast of the United States. Later, the company expanded to include damasks from Ireland, French Alencon lace, and embroideries from Belgium and Switzerland. Machine wash warm water on gentle cycle. Do not use bleach (bleaching may weaken fabric and cause yellowing). Do not use fabricsoftener. Wash dark colors separately. Tumble dry on low heat. Remove while still damp. Steam iron on “cotton” setting on reverse side of fabric.
