Simon created this flat-paned design to showcase the true brilliance and clarity of the glass, and the superior skill of the glassblower in 1982. "The rim formed its curves because of the way the material moves in the glassblowing process. I love when nature takes over and the results are better than planned."
The moment the Woodbury Bowl becomes part of your serving repertoire, you’ll understand why it reigns as a timeless classic in our collection. Each subtle curve is testament to the painstaking technique our master artisans use to craft this premium piece of glassware. Equally beautiful as a centerpiece or salad bowl, the contemporary squared-off angles add balance and geometry to any setting.
At Simon Pearce, fine glassware is still hand-blown in the traditional style. Simon Pearce opened his first glassblowing shop in 1971 in Kilkenny, Ireland. Ten years later, the factory was moved to Quechee, Vermont, where it remains today. The Ottauquechee River provides clean, hydroelectric power for the facility. All Simon Pearce items are proudly made in the U.S.A.
